In Radiant Data, a copper cast covers a hidden iPad that is streaming live data. To the touch, the surface is slightly warm, hence transforming the copper mass from a passive object into a dynamic display of information. This work explores our data-driven society, where we are increasingly hooked in visualising and understanding complex datasets. The fact that the iPad is hidden beneath the copper surface highlights the seamless integration of technology into everyday objects. It also sparks curiosity about the relationship between the visible and the concealed, inviting viewers to contemplate the role of technology in our lives. In an era dominated by screens and digital interfaces, this tactile element offers a more intimate and sensory interaction with technology.
