Radiant Alchemy
Radiant Alchemy
Fluorescent tubes, fixtures and electric cables, copper
Dimensions variable

In Radiant Alchemy, the Artist has removed all the fluorescent tube lights and fixtures from one space of the gallery’s ceiling and has placed them on the floor. The lights have been covered with a copper sheet, thus letting the heat manifest itself through absorbtion. Here, Aoun is interested in showing light as heat — light as something we can feel rather than see. Visitors are invited to touch the work, allowing for a sensory experience of the transformative power of radiant heat beyond the boundaries of visible light.
