In Matters of Duration, Caline Aoun contemplates time and gives material dimension to its duration. Against the accelerated pace of the digital age, the artist makes the passage of time tangible: rematerialized, sedimented, and organic. The artist presents in the booth a series of reduced experimental arrangements using natural and mechanical processes of repetition, accumulation and over-saturation, which rematerialize the invisible and intangible flow of digital data by revealing the very real, and bodily substructure that enables it.
